In a sworn statement, the bodyguard and driver who were present on the night of the alleged shooting of female rapper Megan Thee Stallion indicated that Kelsey Harris, who was Megan’s best friend at the time, was holding a gun, and that Tory Lanez, who was born Daystar Peterson, attempted to remove the gun from Kelsey when it was shot.

In addition to digging deeper, the attorney brought to light the fact that Megan had lied to officers from the Los Angeles Police Department as well as during her interview with Gayle King.

In the beginning, the defense counsel for Lanez began presenting their final statements; however, it is currently anticipated that they will complete them on December 22. Following the conclusion of the closing remarks, it is anticipated that the jury will continue its deliberations until the end of the week.

The district attorney responded by stating that Megan’s testimony was accurate, stating that “she has no reason to lie about who shot her.” This occurred during the lengthy closing.

In addition, the district attorney gave a PowerPoint presentation to the jury, during which she stated that “Megan’s life had been hell for the last two years.” Additionally, the District Attorney stated that Megan “wished” that she had passed away. When Megan spoke in court on December 14, she expressed to the jury that she wished she had passed away.

The paper was submitted to the Court of Appeal of the State of California, Second Appellate District, Division 3, in the form of an affidavit during the filing process.

In a statement that was released on December 5th, Jaquan Smith, who served as Daystar Peterson’s bodyguard and driver on the evening of July 12, 2020, in his professional capacity as Tory Lanez, discussed the events that transpired on that particular night.

In his testimony, Jaquan made it quite clear that Kelsey Harris, who had previously worked as Megan Pete’s secretary and was her best friend, was in possession of a firearm. Megan Pete is better known by her professional name, Megan Thee Stallion.
