Max Verstappen the reigning world champion proposes to team up with Fernando Alonso’ in Le Mans
Max Verstappen, has been dominating the pinnacle of motor racing for several years. The 2023 campaign was also the same story but with the sport coming to a halt at the end of Abu Dhabi, the champion admitted that he has spoken to Fernando Alonso about racing in Le Mans.
Fernando Alonso has raced in Le Mans twice in his racing career so far, and surprisedly, has managed to triumph in the event on both occasions. Max Verstappen feels that one day down the line, he also wants to have a crack at competing in the historic 24-hour race.
The 26-year-old has made it known that he’s had conversations with Alonso where the topic of racing as teammates in the Le Mans competition has come up. But with Verstappen being a heavy driver, he feels that he would most probably need lighter teammates.
