Coco Gauff performed well through the tournament, as she reached the quarterfinals without dropping a single set. And she edged past Marta Kostyuk in a thriller to book her place in the semifinals.
Gauff made a nervous and a paranoid start to the proceedings in the semis as she made six double faults in the first set. Even though she made a decent comeback, it was not enough as World No. 2 blew past her in the tiebreaker.
It was a tough match for me. Overall, it was a positive tournament. I had chances in both sets, but she played better. I think it just came down to a couple of points and that’s tennis.- Gauff said
